Women’s Christian Service Fellowship is a working organization of women for fellowship, spiritual enrichment, mission, and outreach work in the community and beyond, as well as serving the church as needs arise. WCSF is for all women who are members, visitors, or friends of The Church at Litchfield Park.
There are opportunities to join in activities such as knitting and crocheting, dining out, women’s retreats, special programs, and other events. The women support the church with the Helping Hands program, providing meals and refreshments for memorial receptions as needed.

WCSF awards grants to aid women in personal crisis, supports area agencies financially and in service, and donates funds to the church for missions, church enhancements, and fellowship.
The main funding source for WCSF is the church Thrift Shop, managed by women who volunteer their time and talents.

WCSF encourages all women, including friends of the church, to visit and join the circle of their choice, or even to consider starting a new circle. This is an excellent way to meet other women and become involved with the church family in a small-group setting. There are five circles from which to choose, each offering a variety of study topics, fellowship opportunities, and philanthropic projects.
The Caring and Sharing Circle has women who meet September through May on the second Wednesday of each month, at 9:30 a.m. They come together in different homes for Christian fellowship and spiritual enrichment. Their mission projects include supporting the projects of the youth of the church and supporting the Homeless Youth Connection. For more information email wcsfcircle1@clp.church.
Women Unlimited’s membership is mostly mid-life women whose children are now young adults, some even with grandkids. The times, dates and locations of meetings are determined by the hostesses for the month, who also choose a theme or activity for members to enjoy. A business meeting usually precedes the activity. This circle is active in fundraisers to support their mission activities, which include Open Arms Home for Children, an orphanage in South Africa; adopting local families at Christmas; the New Life Center and others. Circle 2 is a “let’s get it done” circle. For more information email wcsfcircle2@clp.church.
This is a luncheon group that welcomes women of all ages. They meet at 11:30 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month for a Dutch treat lunch at La Loma Village retirement center. This circle’s main focus is the New Life Center, a shelter for domestic abuse victims. Circle members purchase and gather supplies for “towel wrap bundles,” providing a new bath towel set and toiletries for each new resident. The members collect toiletry items, hold fund raisers and receive grants from local merchants that are used to purchase towels. For more information email wcsfcircle3@clp.church.
This group of women meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at local restaurants, or in homes. There is a wide age range represented. Some are married, but not all. Some have children, but not all. Some work outside the home, but not all. They are, however, all women that want to share in social fellowship, support each other, and serve with others. Besides monthly gatherings, they contribute to area outreach and mission efforts and do mission work in the community. For more information email wcsfcircle5@clp.church.
Circle 6 is a circle for young women in the church. Its goal is to offer Christian fellowship and service opportunities in a small group setting, while having fun and getting to know each other in the process. Circle 6 meetings and activities vary during the year; some may be at members’ homes. They occasionally plan other special activities and gatherings, so check the worship bulletin for information. For more details email wcsfcircle6@clp.church.

WCSF Christmas Tea
Women’s Retreat
Women’s Christian Service Fellowship hosted their annual Christmas Tea on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Souers Hall, which was sparkling with holiday decorations. The theme chosen for the event was “The Birthday of the King of Kings,” and featured white tablecloths draped with gold metallic ribbons, crystal snowflakes with holiday ornaments, and glass vases featuring iridescent crown silhouettes with lighted multicolored glass marbles. Gold plates, napkins and gold-rimmed glasses were set at each place. Nearly 80 women brought an array of delicious tea sandwiches, hors d’ouevres and assorted sweets to enjoy, along with coffee, hot tea, and water.
President Suzanne Boyer welcomes those present, and Rev. Dr. Lynne Kammeraad gave the blessing before Vice President Jane Holdcroft called tables to serve themselves. A brief business meeting was conducted by WCSF President Suzanne Boyer to elect the following officers for 2019 by acclamation: Suzanne Boyer, President; Jane Holdcroft, Vice President; (Vacant), Recording Secretary; Chris Martin, Corresponding Secretary; Jacque Hough, Treasurer; Sheila Porter, Member-at-Large; Mary Cantrell, Member-at-large.
Entertainment was provided by the delightful Children’s Christian Community Choir (4C), led and accompanied today by Kathy Drake. Ramon Ocaño is the group’s co-director, sponsored by The Church at Litchfield Park.
Members of Circles 1 and 5 created the table decorations, Circles 2 and 6 planned the entertainment, and Circle 3 took care of kitchen responsibilities. Sincere thanks to Khalilah Edwards, Patty Helm, Alberto Hernandez, and Baker Gilbert for their invaluable assistance. ~Chris Martin

“Mother’s Love Helps All Things Grow,” the theme for the 2017 annual Mother’s Day luncheon for women, inspired the selection of spring garden flowering plants, garden decorations with burlap accents, and seed packet favors, highlighted by white and kiwi green table settings.
Nearly 160 women, teens, and children enjoyed the salad and dessert buffet. The combined 4C choirs offered up entertainment with “The Wizard and Me: A Dog’s Tail,” featuring scenes from Dr. Sue Kujawski’s comedic rewrite of “The Wizard of Oz.” Sue and Jane Calhoun directed, Kathy Drake accompanied, and Barbara Kolar played “Over the Rainbow” as the overture. Bill (Big Wiz) Trejbal voiced The Wizard, and Catherine Broski played the role of Toto, the narrator. 4C performed at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA, on May 30-31.
Julie Rataezyk’s name was drawn as the winner of the “Amazing Grace” quilt, made and donated by Barbara Henderson. Proceeds of $335 from the quilt raffle will be designated for youth programs and activities.

The WCSF women's retreat, The "Other" Proverbs Woman, was held on February 4, 2017. Ninety-four women gathered in Souers Hall for fellowship, study, and song. Pastor Lynne Kammeraad and Pastor Kerri Sandusky took us on a prayer-filled journey, while Debra Weber and Lisa Collier led us in song. A special thank you to the WCSF Board, Betty Gerlak, Jacque Hough, Lori Corgan, Carolyn Griffith, Brenda Morgan, Patty Helm, and Baker Gilbert for making it all "happen."
