Join us as we serve at St. Mary's Food Bank on Saturday February 7th. We will meet at 11:15 am in the church parking lot and carpool to the St. Mary's Food Bank facility in Phoenix. We will be filling emergency food boxes from 12 – 2pm. Don't forget to wear closed toe shoes and long sleeved shirts:)

The 3 F Club: Food, Fun, Fellowship

Look to the New Year for a great new fellowship opportunity!  You’ll have the chance to sign up to join with couples and singles of all ages to create a dinner club.  You will then be paired with three other family units made up of couples or singles.  Once a month for the following four months, each couple or individual in your personal “club” will host dinner, and other members of your club will assist.  This will give folks the opportunity to meet in the comfort of someone’s home instead of a restaurant to share a meal.  Each family unit will have the opportunity to serve as host.

We’ll join together to create intimate groups, get to know each other better, enjoy a little food, and drink, some fellowship, develop deeper, more meaningful relationships, and share the love of God together.

Join me for a four-week in-depth study of Philippians. Paul’s letter to the church reminds us to find joy in all circumstances. We do this while living in unity with a life centered on Jesus Christ. Honor and remember a loved one this Easter by bringing in a lily in a 6" pot to display in the sanctuary. Lilies will be on view Easter during the 8:30 and 10am service, creating a beautiful tribute during our worship services. Drop-off times are on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1 and 2, 9am-4pm in the office.

Please indicate the number of lilies you plan to bring and include a short dedication, such as "John Doe, Loving husband and father."

Attention High School Seniors

The Church at Litchfield Park is proud to offer five $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in May 2026 who plan to continue their education in the fall of 2026. While academic achievement is important, the Church places equal, if not greater, emphasis on service and volunteerism in our community. We believe that true success comes from a balance of both academic pursuits and a commitment to making a positive impact on those around us. One scholarship is reserved for a graduating member of the Church, while the other four are open to seniors attending any high school in the Agua Fria High School District. Applicants will be screened, and finalists will be invited for interviews via Zoom on Saturday morning, April 11th. To be considered, students must demonstrate not only their academic goals but also their dedication to serving others. The scholarship will be awarded upon verification of enrollment in a vocational school, community college, or university of the student's choice, with the funds sent directly to the college. This initiative is designed to open doors to higher education while also recognizing those who give back to their communities.

The application deadline is March 19th at 4 PM 

Requirements:  Application, essay, official high school transcript, and an interview for the finalist.

The Board held its first meeting with newly elected members on January 20th. We’re grateful for the new members' willingness to serve. A few important updates to share:

The next Quarterly Congregational Meeting will be held on February 22.

We are still seeking someone to fill the Stewardship position. Please prayerfully consider serving or recommending someone.

From the Treasurer’s report: the church finished last year $22,000 short of our budgeted income, and we are currently about $20,000 away from this year’s pledge goal. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and generosity. 

Regarding the Senior Pastor search, the Board plans to form the search committee at the February board meeting.

Board meetings are open to all. The next meeting is February 17, 2026, at 6:45 PM in Zieske Hall.

Homework:  We changed our devotional time to someone different each month. The devotion leader can select from The Upper Room or from something else they'd like to share.  Each month we'll put the names in a dish and draw for the following month - two names for our usual two tables. Thought it would be fun to share this task and learn from one another. February devotional leaders are: Betty Minor and Judy Simpson (If either of you are unable to do devotions, let me know and we'll find someone else.)
